just fyi, the comic is currently quite late. holidays threw things into a bit of a tailspin. i may do the traditional new years' filler and call it even until january.

sorry i've been scarce lately. there's been a lot of real life things to take care of related to work, insurance, moving, theft, vehicles needing repairs, etc. still have a lot to do, but thankfully i'm off work until the 4th. i'd shout PARTAAAAY but at 27 years old, PARTAAAY is a lot more mellow than it used to be. in fact, my new years tradition i used to keep has come back - watching the twilight zone marathon on scifi channel all the way into the new year.

there's nothing quite like classic rod serling for 24 hours, let me tell you what.

zarla sent me gifts, omg. one of the best posters ever made and sam keith's epicurus the sage. i love sam keith's work, oh man.

also someone sent me a brand new lavalamp! i have no idea who this person could be. maybe zar? maybe not! but either way, these three unexpected gifts really made the holidays. so...yay :>

hopefully i'll have the photos from the phish show up later tonight. i haven't had a chance to sit down and resize/resave them all yet, really. but as for all y'all reading, i hope your winter holidays are going happily. stay warm!

Reading Unseen Academicals too! It's...interesting. I'm enjoying it, but not as much as I usually enjoy DW novels? I dunno if it's just because NOT ENOUGH VIMES* or what...it just seems kinda weirdly all over the place. Not to say that I don't like it, though. (WIZARDS!!)

*This is a complaint that can be applied to most anything though. THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH VIMES.

SO YEAH I DID END UP FINISHING NANOWRIMO. Three days early! It was fun. It's still not done at like 110k words, BUT AT LEAST IT'S DEFINITELY GETTING SOMEWHERE.

And uh. Here it is, if anyone wants to read it! 8| This's just the second half, which I've combed through once for typos which probably means there are a hundred that I didn't catch.

well, it's late again D: this time despite pulling a literal all-nighter. i'm going to try to continue a saturday update schedual but i'm still not entirely certain... i may wind up having to switch the comic to updating on sundays. i was up from midnight through the day, plus drawing in the car, which meant i got about three hours sleep. on a friday night. that's rather criminal, in my opinion, and this was a GOOD week with time at work. given that, i honestly can in no way promise the bonus comics will update any time soon. i still have someone's commissions to finish, plus some promised gift art...

let me tell something to any aspiring webcomic artists out there - once your comic takes you more than six hours a week to complete and you're no longer in school, you begin to have a lot of trouble balancing it with a real life. not impossible to do, just...interesting.
